This update is a smaller one focused on implementing new features before I begin work on chapter 8 which will be discussed in more detail in the next dev log.

For now, I’ve added new lewd scenes that were previously missing from chapter 6, namely: Charlotte and Kyo scenes. As always you’ll need relationship points to successfully view these scenes and afterwards they’ll be unlocked in the gallery. I’ve also added another secret code and corresponding unlockable picture.

As for the new features they are experimental and probably buggy but will serve as a good starting point. The most useful is the new chapter select screen. This will be good for returning players or people that want to try different routes quickly. Note this feature is not fully-tested and it impacts relationship points and how they work in an unintended manner. So I STRONGLY recommend using a separate save file if you intend on using chapter select!

To access chapter select simply start a new game and press “c”. (c for chapter, isn’t that intuitive!) You can find that hotkey description in the help menu if you forget. Additionally, as I am still testing this feature out: only the first three chapters are implemented for now.

Another feature is Mature Mode. Serene Skies has Mature Mode enabled by default but now at the start of new games you will be prompted with the choice to disable it, which (should) skip all adult content in the game. This is a fairly haphazard implementation of such an idea and I intend to refine it further such that it doesn’t take the player out of the story as abruptly but in the meantime if you want to play the game exclusively as SFW for whatever reason, this should do the trick. As with chapter select however, this is probably pretty buggy.

Textshaders have been added as well.

And that’s all for now! Sorry this update doesn’t include any progression to the main story line but the next update will be entirely focused on that.
